Van Zaig Gallery’s mission is to celebrate the contemporary art of female artists while leveraging the power of that art to provide visibility and resources to women and children refugees worldwide. To achieve this goal, the gallery is proud to partner with Women for Women International, who have created a global community that invests in women survivors of war and conflict.

ABOUT WOMEN FOR WOMEN INTERNATIONAL

In countries affected by conflict and war, Women for Women International supports the most marginalized women to earn and save money, improve their health and well-being, influence decisions in their homes and community, and connect them to networks for support.

WfWI works across seventeen conflict-affected countries - Afghanistan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, DRC, Ethiopia, Iraq, Kosovo, Mali, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine (West Bank), Poland, Rwanda, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine.

Their Conflict Respond Fund also allows us to act quickly and address emerging conflicts through local partnerships and rapid response grants. conflict.

IMPACT

  • Over 30 years, WfWI has reached more than 553,437 women survivors of war and conflict.

  • In 2022, WfWI’s SWSN program had a 93% graduation and 10,933 graduates.

  • On average, women experience a 196% increase in their savings, with 79% of graduates reporting saving a portion of their earnings, compared to 20% at enrollment.

  • Globally, 69% fewer women report household food insecurity at graduation compared to enrollment.

  • 84% of women report participating in household financial decisions by graduation, compared to just 44% at the beginning of the program.
